Sauti za Busara 2023

Sauti za Busara is a pan-African music festival centred in Stone Town, Zanzibar each year during February, attracting thousands of music-lovers from near and far. Organisers are preparing the 20th edition, to take place during 10th – 12th February 2023.

This will be a special edition to commemorate two decades, with a thrilling line-up of performers on several stages, artistic collaborations, professional networking, technical workshops and more.

Sauti za Busara showcases live music that is diverse, unique and with cultural identity, energy, excitement and positive vibes. The festival gives priority to women musicians, young and emerging talents from across the African continent and diaspora.

The final line-up of confirmed artists will be announced in October 2022.

ACCES 2022

The Music In Africa Foundation (MIAF) is pleased to announce the ACCES music conference 2022 edition will take place at the National Museum & House of Culture Theatre in Dar es Salaam on 24, 25 and 26 November. Tanzania will be the fifth African country to host ACCES, after previous editions took place in Senegal, Kenya, Ghana and South Africa.

“We have been looking forward to hosting ACCES in Tanzania for some time,” said MIAF director Eddie Hatitye. “We are incredibly excited and look forward to the first-ever ACCES edition in Tanzania. This is a country where traditional and contemporary music come together to create a colourful music scene that deserves to be celebrated with a truly pan-African platform like ACCES.”
