The Call for Artists is now open! The 21st Edition of the Sauti za Busara festival, as planned to shake the walls of Stone Town, Zanzibar will take place during 09 – 11 February 2024. Artists are invited to take to the stage and showcase their talent, culture, and passion for music!

Sauti za Busara showcases diverse music from the African Continent and diaspora.

The Call for Artists is open only until the 31st of July 2023. Applications received afterward will not be processed.

Preference is given to:

Original music with a cultural identity that is connected to Africa.

Women artists, or groups led by women

Young, new, and emerging talents

Music with messages that are positive, relevant, and useful to society

Music that is performed ‘100% live’!

During 10 - 12 February 2023, Stone Town, Zanzibar was united in celebration, in the language of African music.

Over three days, 14,000 people from East Africa and across the world attended and witnessed the wealth and diversity of artists the festival had to offer.

This year’s festival showcased electrifying performances by world-class talents from Zanzibar and Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe, DRC, South Africa, Reunion, Ethiopia, Cote d’Ivoire, and Puerto Rico.
