The spirit, the people, and the magic of Zanzibar remain at the heart of everything we do.

Now, with great joy, we turn our eyes to Sauti za Busara 2026 , a new chapter that promises to be bold, vibrant, and truly unforgettable. The upcoming edition will once again transform Zanzibar into a meeting point for cultures, sounds, and stories from across Africa and beyond.

We are especially proud to announce that the legendary Salif Keita will be part of the Sauti za Busara 2026 experience. Known worldwide as the “Golden Voice of Africa,” Salif Keita’s music carries deep history, soul, and message. His presence on our stage is a powerful moment for the festival , a celebration of legacy, resilience, and the timeless power of African music.

And this is just the beginning.

The 2026 lineup is shaping up to be one of our most exciting yet, bringing together a dynamic mix of iconic artists, rising stars, and boundary-pushing performers from across the continent. From hypnotic rhythms to bold new sounds, every performance is carefully curated to reflect the richness of our African heritage.

Let them shine!

Sauti za Busara’s 23rd Edition returns from 05–08 February 2026: bigger, bolder, and brighter than ever.

Under the theme LET THEM SHINE, this year’s festival celebrates Youth and Children .voices, rhythms, and stories that address and overcome abuse, cultural boundaries and gender-based-violence. Guided by the spirit of “Sauti Moja, Mdundo Mmoja” (One Voice, One Rhythm) and “Breaking Boundaries”, we bring together artists and artivists from across Africa and beyond to create moments of unity, reflection and powerful expression igniting social change.

At Sauti za Busara we let the spirit of humanity shine, give it a dynamic platform uniting people from different backgrounds and social realities.

Watch out for our women trainees under the Gender@Works Tanzania program in partnership with the Music In Africa Foundation, the Swahili Encounters Pan-African collaborative program, with the support of UNESCO Diversiy of Cultural Expressions, the “Inspire to Lead” community outreach programs in partnership with UN Women, funded by the European Union and other side events empowering individuals and creative industry at large.

We are also excited to be partnering with Media Sound to offer a free workshop titled ”Your Music & Sound in Film, TV and other media - How can it get there and how it supports your career as an artist or composer.” Register via the link below:
