uKhoiKhoi is a dynamic live looping duo that celebrates multilingual expressions through a fusion of opera, indigenous chants, and praise poetry.

Formed in 2019 in Johannesburg, South Africa, this innovative group consists of musician and composer Yogin Sullaphen, alongside vocalist and performing artist Anelisa Stuurman.

With a blend of traditional and contemporary instruments, they create a unique sound they refer to as "indigenous electro," reflecting their rich cultural heritage. The name uKhoiKhoi pays homage to their shared KhoiSan ancestry, one of the original tribes of Southern Africa.

In April 2020, uKhoiKhoi released their self-titled debut EP, featuring three captivating tracks that showcase their distinct style. Their music has since garnered attention, promoting their powerful messages and artistic vision.

As they continue to innovate and inspire, uKhoiKhoi remains dedicated to honouring their roots while pushing the boundaries of contemporary sound.
