From a young age, Baba Kash's heart has been captivated by the art of singing, igniting his musical journey in 2003 with a deep passion for Bongo Flava music.

In 2014, he took a significant step forward by entering the studio with C9 Kanjenje, where he recorded his debut song, 'Kidoti,' in collaboration with Msaga Sumu. The track showcased an artistic fusion of Swahili flavors, Singeli, mchiriku, and other vibrant tribal rhythms.

Growing up in a household where his brother, Banyenda, was a devoted fan of mchiriku music greatly influenced Baba Kash. His brother's enthusiasm, as he collected every album from the Mchiriku Band, fueled Baba Kash's own musical aspirations.

In 2016, Baba Kash ventured into the dynamic world of Singeli music, quickly gaining recognition for his unique sound. Despite this success, he dreamed of forming his own band, and in 2022, that dream became a reality. He established a band that creatively combines Singeli and mchiriku, setting the stage for a fresh musical experience.

By 2023, Baba Kash and his band stepped into the spotlight, making their debut at the Marafiki Music Festival. Since then, they have made remarkable strides, gracing stages at notable events, including Jumatano Groove, Lete Story, Singeli Fest, Summer Art Festival, and Ongala Music Festival.

With each performance, Baba Kash is excited to share his musical journey and connect with audiences, bringing vibrant sound and passion to life. He believes that the best is yet to come, and he is especially looking forward to showcasing the amazing fusion of Singeli and mchiriku at Sauti za Busara, a platform he eagerly anticipates as a pivotal moment in his career.
