Soma kwa Kiswahili

Alamokha is a soulful Tanzanian singer, songwriter, arranger, and guitarist whose music is a powerful expression of identity, culture, and emotion. Blending Afro Soul, Afro Fusion, and Afro Jazz, she crafts soundscapes that tell deeply rooted African stories—stories of resilience, love, and hope. Her motivational anthem “Don’t Give Up” stands as a testament to her mission: to uplift, heal, and inspire through music.

Born and raised in Tanzania, Alamokha is the first and only musician in her entire clan—a living proof that passion can transcend tradition. Her musical journey began at just five years old, self-taught and guided solely by instinct and a powerful inner calling. Though her family initially questioned her dedication, Alamokha never wavered in her dream.

After high school, she formalized her passion by enrolling at TASUBA College of Arts, where her talent began to flourish. Immersed in a creative community, she discovered her voice and embraced the guitar as her signature instrument, graduating in 2019. Her artistic growth continued at Action Music Academy, where she earned a scholarship through a German institution and honed her skills in performance, instrumentation, and music marketing, graduating in 2023.

Alamokha’s rise in the East African music scene has been marked by captivating live performances at major festivals such as Bagamoyo Festival in 2019, October Festival in 2022, Ongala Music Festival in 2022, Marafiki Festival in 2023 and Serengeti Festival in 2023.

With a warm, expressive voice and a mastery of live instrumentation, she connects deeply with audiences seeking authenticity, culture, and soul. Her performances are not just shows—they are experiences, journeys through the heart of Africa.

Inspired by powerful African women in music such as Angélique Kidjo, Yemi Alade, and Fatoumata Diawara, Alamokha is carving her own path—bold, genuine, and unapologetically African.

She is currently working hard to finalize her debut albam.
