Hailing from Tororo in Eastern Uganda, Apio Moro is an afro-soul singer-songwriter who inspires continuous self-discovery through her music. Apio has held a life-long fascination with how music empowers people to tell their stories.
In 2017, following performances at Fete de la Musique, Blankets & Wine and Bayimba Festival, Apio released her debut EP, Chuny Adech, meaning half of my soul.
In 2019, she launched her latest album 'Choore' (Move Closer), featuring eight tracks in Japadhola, English, Luganda and Kinyarwanda. Following positive feedback, she was invited to showcase at DoaDoa East African Performing Arts Market.
