Founded in 2023, Zanzibar Taarab Heritage Ensemble comprises masters of traditional Taarab from the Zanzibar islands, united with the mission of preserving and promoting this rich musical heritage. The ensemble features legendary artists, including Professor Mohammed Ilyas, Taimour Rukuni Taha, Mohammed Matona, Iddy Sued, Bi Maryam Hamdan, Rajab Suleiman, Mohammed Othman, and many others. Each member brings a wealth of experience and artistry, collectively embodying the essence of Taarab music.
