She pursued this dream by joining several choirs of different styles: gospel, traditional, classical and folk music in the Congo and then in Belgium. She later settled in Quebec in 2008, always with the firm intention of continuing to express her immense creative talent.
As an author, composer and performer, Naxx was greatly influenced by classical music but also by popular music from her childhood, notably mutuashi and Congolese rumba. Through her compositions, she demonstrates her passion and her commitment to create around different African rhythms.
With artistic generosity, energy, passion and above all a very personal sound, she has performed on many stages. Her debut album ‘Kuetu’, released in 2022, blends her traditional Mutuashi and Nimekua musical influences with reggae, rumba and afropop. Her lyrics tackle diverse subjects including racism, the importance of living together, also experiences and stages of life, happy or not, that make us grow.
