Kasiva Mutua is a leading Kenyan percussionist celebrated for her powerful drumming, inspired by the folktales of her grandmother. As an international touring artist, she masterfully blends African traditional music with modern genres like jazz, Hip-Hop, reggae, and funk, celebrating her community's spirit and uplifting the role of African women in music.

In 2015, Kasiva co-founded MOTRAMUSIC, Kenya's first all-female percussion collective, empowering young women through drumming and fostering a supportive sisterhood. A highlight of her recent work was her debut performance with her band at Acces 2023 in Dar es Salaam.

Named a TED Global Fellow in 2017 and an OkayAfrica 100 Woman in 2018, Kasiva also launched "Vibe na Queen," an online platform for female musicians during the pandemic. Her debut EP, NGEWA, released in 2022, showcases her unique storytelling through percussion. She continues to advocate for gender equality and cultural preservation in music.
