Born and raised in Umm Durman, Adam’s musical journey began in childhood, where he discovered the profound power of music to unite and inspire people.
In 2023, amid the outbreak of civil war in Sudan, which led to widespread violence and humanitarian crises, Adam sought refuge in Kenya. There, he remained committed to peace and cultural preservation through his music and art. In this new environment, he helped form WD Abo, a vibrant group comprised of Sudanese refugees and a few Kenyans, creating a unique cultural fusion that reflects their shared experiences.
Wd Abo believes deeply in the transformative power of music as a tool for fostering peace, unity, and cultural heritage. His work showcases a keen understanding of how music can address societal challenges and build bridges among diverse communities. Through his creative endeavours, Adam continues to champion the rich cultural heritage of Sudan, using the universal language of music to promote understanding and healing.
